A Thank You to Women

It was good to see so many celebrate International Women’s Day last week, recognizing all that women around the world have accomplished.

I’ve been blessed to work with women most of my career, and focused on immigrant and minority groups in under-served communities supporting entrepreneurship. As you all know, we support organizations that cultivate entrepreneurship and small business development. Women represent almost 60 percent of the people these organizations serve.

I say this with pride because it’s an honor to be able to serve the women in these communities -- women who are building homes, building hospitals, opening stores, and creating careers for others to follow.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from their resilience, their patience, and their insight — how they turn a problem into an opportunity with little or no resources.

To all entrepreneurs, and to the women we have been blessed to interact with over the past few decades, I say THANK YOU for allowing us to be part of your journey, sharing your insights, and for making the world a better place.
