ISM · Business Model Canvas Mastermind
Build a business model you can test, not just describe.
A practical mastermind for entrepreneurs ready to map the model, challenge assumptions with real customer evidence, and make stronger decisions about what to build next.
Next cohort begins the week of October 12, 2026 · Live on Zoom
Your business model on one page
Nine connected blocks. One system to test.
From assumptions to evidence
The canvas is a tool for better business decisions.
This is not a class about filling in nine boxes. Participants use the Business Model Canvas as a shared map, then combine Customer Development and Lean Startup practices to test the model against the real world.
What you will work through
A clear path from your current model to your next move.
The full ISM syllabus is built as a seven-part progression. Individual cohorts may adapt the pacing and combine topics while preserving the same core work.
-
01
Map the current model
Build a baseline canvas, connect the nine blocks, and identify the assumptions and risks that need evidence first.
-
02
Understand the customer
Narrow priority segments, explore jobs, pains, gains, and buying behavior, then use customer discovery conversations to test what you think you know.
-
03
Sharpen the value proposition
Connect the offer to real customer needs, separate features from outcomes, and test whether the message actually resonates.
-
04
Build the path to market
Map the customer journey, prioritize acquisition and sales channels, and run a measurable go-to-market experiment.
-
05
Stress-test the economics
Work through pricing, revenue streams, major costs, basic unit economics, and break-even assumptions using real outside numbers wherever possible.
-
06
Turn the model into action
Clarify key activities, resources, and partnerships, integrate the final model, and build a focused 30-60-90 day plan and concise final pitch.
Built around real work
You leave with more than a completed canvas.
The program is structured around concrete outputs that help you explain the model, show what you tested, and decide what to do next.

A few quick answers.
Do I need to already own a business?
No. The program is designed for people with a defined business idea as well as early-stage and existing businesses that are refining, pivoting, or growing.
What happens between live sessions?
Expect practical fieldwork such as customer conversations, outreach, experiments, market tests, pricing validation, and other work tied directly to your own business model.
Is this mainly a lecture course?
No. Short instruction is followed by application, peer discussion, challenge questions, facilitator feedback, and specific commitments to test before the next session.
How does the $100 deposit work?
There is no cost to apply. If accepted, you submit a $100 commitment deposit. It is fully refundable when you complete the required work and attend the full cohort.
