Individual Entrepreneurs - SME Owners: Startups, Leaders
We are proud to mentor entrepreneur leaders, helping them dream, launch, and grow their own small- and medium-sized enterprises. We work with entrepreneurs all over the world, with a particular focus on women entrepreneurs. Our services include training, education, business advertising, talent and operations development, business coaching and funding strategies.
In Palestine, we partner with a group of women entrepreneurs in the Scale Up & Thrive Project to scale up their existing businesses and expand to international markets. After receiving training from EFE-Palestine, several hard-working women from the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza joined ISM’s advanced training and coaching programs. We then built on this foundation by bringing a small group of these entrepreneurs to the U.S. for our Capacity Building Tour program. While there, participants met with business support specialists and potential collaborators.
During similar work with women from Jordan, we built an online marketplace where entrepreneurs ran virtual booths for international customers. We facilitated networking opportunities online as well as in person for pitching and one-on-one meetings with supporters and potential buyers.
In Battle Creek, Michigan, USA, in collaboration with SecondMuse, we employed the Kauffman FastTrac Business Planning program to support entrepreneurs writing business plans and our Train the Trainer curriculum to equip local trainers to deliver ISM programs. We also shared our hands-on experience and launched targeted pre-program training for participants to learn the art of the pitch.

Designed for Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), ISM’s programs provide customized support for organizations across the globe. Our services include program design, ecosystem assessment and development, mentorship training, training the trainers, program assessments and talent development programs.
To support entrepreneurship in Egypt, we partnered with the U.S. Embassy in Egypt-Cairo. We delivered our Train the Trainer program and cultivated an entrepreneurship and SME development support services training program. In addition, we trained the heads of incubators/accelerators and SME development centers in several other countries, ranging from Myanmar and Saudi Arabia to Egypt, Belarus and more than 25 other countries. We engaged with these leaders, sharing with them how to run business centers to support entrepreneurship business advancement. We also offered training to AmCham Egypt and several universities on establishing entrepreneurship ecosystem support organizations. This included how to ask for funding, how to start and grow retail and tech businesses, as well as moving from startup to scaleup.
In Belarus, we facilitated discussions between education, government, and the private sector to foster collaboration and entrepreneurship. Building on this, we supported a hackathon to produce technology solutions for both government and private business. Additionally, we mentored tech startups and gave talks about mentorship and the art of networking.
