Business Planning with AI

As many of you know, I’ve facilitated numerous ISM programs specific to business planning. We have different tools for the plans we may deploy, such as:

  1. A one-page executive summary, or a 1–15-page business plan,

  2. A formal 25 –100-page business plan,

  3. A resilient plan,

  4. A capital readiness plan, and even

  5. Funding or global trade mission plans

We have used different tools and have been able to incorporate AI (artificial intelligence) into one of them.

In a recent program on business planning in which we helped a few people utilize AI, it was empowering to see the spark that happened to the entrepreneurs we were supporting. That spark generated new ideas based on the existing business they were running. Those who were just launching a business reconsidered how they plan to grow their business.

Each of the tools out there today is unique. We’ve set ours up with prompt that allow the user to work through the process in the meaningful way. The entrepreneurs can create the finished product on their own, or gain feedback and edits from our team and staff.

In this last session, the ISM team was excited to watch the entrepreneurs become more excited about their business, wanting to spend more time working on moving the business forward, whether it was just starting up, or growing. The excitement escalated!

BEFORE YOU GO

We see our blogs as opportunities for dialogue. Please share your thoughts as comments.

  1. What can you do to generate and document your business plan?

  2. How might you incorporate AI into your business planning?

  3. What other tools to support you in starting or growing your business?
