ISM Explore

 Program overview

EXPLORE is a 2 weeks entrepreneurship program that teaches immigrants and minorities about exploring business ideas in the U.S market. It is a micro enterprise focused one man/ one woman show.

Goals 

• Integrate new immigrants with opportunities in business.

• Break the myth associated with such business opportunities

• Teach leadership skills to support immigrants integrating in the larger community.

Outcomes

• Each participant will come up with executive summary for a plan for their anticipated business.

Program Description

The program takes place in a session format every other day, 90 minutes/ session for a group of 6- 8 participants. In between we deliver coaching and mentoring session for total of 90 minutes. The program concludes with a presentation for each participant about their business ideas and ends with a ceremony.

ISM has been providing EXPLORE since 2011 with an average of 3 programs/ year. In collaboration with international organizations ISM developed similar programs to deploy it internationally.
